Why Volunteer?

Networking Opportunity
At the VBCC you will have the opportunity to network with high-level finance professionals in the Montreal area as well as finance students from all over North America. The VBCC is an exclusive, intimate event where everyone gets to know each other over the course of the two-day competition.

Watch case presentations in action
Depending on your role and availability, you will get the opportunity to watch the case presentations and hear the judges’ questions and reactions. This a great way to help you prepare for future case competitions you may take part in.

Memorable Events
Not only will you have the opportunity to watch case presentations by students from top business schools in North America, but you will also receive invitations to our exclusive cocktail and gala events.

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers will be assigned a role based on availability and our scheduling needs. Some roles include: 

- Team host: you will be paired with a team and will stay with them throughout the day of the competition, ensuring they are where they needed to be when they need to be there, ensuring the rules of the competition are followed, and making sure they have everything they need at the competition.

- Presentation room manager: you will ensure that the team presentations go off without a hitch, from timing to ensuring competition rules are followed, you will be a vital part of making the VBCC a success!

- Preparation and registration hosts: welcoming the teams and their coaches to JMSB is crucial at the VBCC. You will assist with setting up and managing the registration desk and other areas of the competition. You will be responsible for checking in the teams as they arrive and making sure they have their name badge and all the information they need to have a successful competition.
